Leader Wood restored

Planting Trees at Leader Wood

Leader staff have planted 200 more trees at Leader Wood, part of the Heart of England Forest.

The new saplings are all oaks, and they replace trees lost to harsh weather since the wood was originally planted in 2015 to celebrate Leader’s 50th anniversary.

This 6.5 acre parcel of land has been stocked with a wonderful range of trees native to England’s ancient Greenwood.

These are part of the 1.8 million trees planted so far by the Heart of England Project to create the largest new native forest in the country, running across South Warwickshire and Worcester on the doorstep of cities like Birmingham and Coventry.
