Strategy Director

Alister is our strategy director in the new management team.

Operating as outsourced marketing director, he develops marketing strategies that are informed by commercial goals and fuelled by market and customer insight. Through our director-led model, this combines with responsibility for coordinating tactical marketing activity as lead for internal client teams and budget holder. 

He specialises in working with organisations to audit their corporate reputation and marketing communications activity. Through in-depth primary and secondary research that assesses how they are perceived by key stakeholders, their competitive position in the market, and their organisational values and social purpose.   

This strategic insight is used as the foundation for future marketing and business strategies.  Working in partnership with the creative director, Alister encourages clients to take a fully integrated design and marketing approach, with all activity geared to deliver return on investment through close alignment with internal sales teams and commercial activity.

In a 25-year communications career, Alister has worked across many industry sectors in senior leadership positions in agency, as a consultant, and within organisations. He also spent time as a freelance national journalist and a visiting lecturer in PR and marketing.
