Faye Hampson.

Managing Director & Creative Director

Faye leads the new management team as well as being Leader’s creative director.

Skilled in a complete range of design work, she has a particular passion for delivering integrated campaigns which draw traditional design elements such as typography, photography, print and packaging together with innovative web, digital and technology solutions.

Faye brings a strategic perspective into the role of design for every client.  This is essential in our strategy and insight work and has led to some creative, compelling, and commercially astute work for clients. Work that perfectly complements the marketing strategies developed with her fellow directors.

“One of Leader’s real strengths is the way we can integrate the strategic potential of cutting-edge design and the tactical expertise of Leader’s Hub team with the work of our frontline communications directors. It is a distinctive approach which has proven time and time again to deliver informed, relevant and, above all, highly effective visual design outcomes.”

An experienced design team lead with a strong background in both agency and in-house environments, Faye joined Leader from health, beauty, and household products distributor DCS where she worked with brands including Unilever and Proctor & Gamble. Before this, she sharpened her skills in roles across sectors including FMCG, health & beauty, sports, logistics and charity.

In her own words

Describe marketing in three words:

Creative, integrated, proactive.

How would you describe your approach to marketing:

As the Visual Communication Director I guess I would say my approach is very much about the visual impact that design and digital can play within the overall marketing and communications mix. Whether it’s about print or digital, it’s always about marrying user experience, branding and content.

What do you most enjoy about your work:

The variety. Every day really is different, working across print and digital for many different clients from different business backgrounds.

What do you do in your spare time:

When I’m not standing by a pitch watching my youngest son play football, or watching my eldest and husband play bowls, I can normally be found in a dance studio, exercising and indulging my love of ballet.
